Nordstrom never fails to amaze me whenever the holidays come around. I always love stopping their to pick up the perfect holiday dresses! One reason why I love the holiday season so much, is that it makes sense to be dressed up. I’m constantly asked “Why are you so dressed up?” as if everyday isn’t a perfectly reasonable excuse to wear a dress and heels. The constant questioning never stops me from dressing up, but it does make it more enjoyable when I know I won’t be asked so many questions. I’ve always loved overdressing, ever since I was a little girl. Even in high school I would always wear floor-length dresses to the dances even when it was the norm to wear a short dress. As Audrey Hepburn once said, “I believe in overdressing!!”
Happy Monday everyone!!! I’m so ready for this new week. Last week went by so slow and was a tough week. I’m very excited for my fresh start this week! Christmas Break is only 2 weeks away and I couldn’t be more ready. The only things getting me through these next two weeks are: Netflix, online-shopping, lots of good food, and constantly searching for pretty Christmas lights.
Tons of my friends are obsessed with makeup, so I have been looking to Sephora and Ulta when shopping for them this year. With the help of one of my friends (thank you Kora!!!) I was able to create a Holiday Gift Guide for the Beauty Lover! All of these gifts are reasonably priced and would be well-appreciated and used.
Thank you so much for reading!
The holiday season is always filled with so many parties and get-togethers with friends and family! I personally love throwing parties, but always seem to forget how much work is put into throwing an event until I am trying to get everything together the day-of. To show an appreciation for your hostess, bring a gift! It doesn’t have to be expensive, just something to show your gratefulness.
Also! If you don’t have time to get a physical gift, I love to bring a bouquet of flowers or some chocolates :).
Thank you so much for reading!
Hello! I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving!!
Black Friday is finally here and I am so ready to Christmas shop (for myself & for others). I always get so overwhelmed on Black Friday, because there are so many places to shop and not enough time!! This year I am sticking to online shopping so I can stay cuddled up with Michael Buble’s Christmas album playing and some peppermint hot chocolate to get me into the holiday mood.
Happy Thanksgiving!!! It’s days like today that remind me about all of the many things I have to be thankful for. I’m thankful for my friends, family, boyfriend (who also happens to be my photographer), and so much more, but most of all for my blog and those who support my blog by reading and commenting. It truly means the world to me!
I’ve said this before, and I’m going to say it again: I absolutely love meeting other bloggers!! I got to meet Hannah from Blissfully Brunette yesterday and we had so much fun taking photos & visiting the cutest coffee shop! It’s so much fun getting to know people who do the same thing as you and have similar interests. The rain stopped at the perfect time so we got to take some photos in downtown Bellevue.
Hello!! Today’s blog post is featuring an outfit that I wore on Thanksgiving last year, in honor of Thanksgiving being one week (!!!!) from today. I purchased this outfit at Lord and Taylor which is one of my favorite department stores. Sadly, we don’t have it in Seattle (it’s only in New York)…but that doesn’t stop me from constantly browsing their online store! They have tons of holiday clothing right now, which you can find here.
Random thing about me…I used to hate rewearing dresses/outfits. Is it just me or does anyone else think about the Lizzie McGuire movie scene where Kate called Lizzie an outfit repeater, every time they rewear something?? I definitely consider myself a shopaholic and have way to many dresses, but it’s so unreasonable to wear a completely new dress every single day. Also, when I find a dress I love…why would I only want to wear it once? Thankfully those old ways are behind me and I’m embracing some older pieces in my closet by mixing them with different pieces and making them look completely new!
