I absolutely love celebrations. When I was in high school I would always bring my friends’ balloons and/or flowers for their birthdays. I would also throw parties any chance I got (Christmas, St. Patrick’s Day, Flower-Arranging, etc). Making my friends and family happy brings me so much joy, and I always have so much fun thinking of gifts to give.
Event-planning in the summertime is so much fun! I try and throw at least one event for my friends every summer, and they are always so much fun and create tons of memories. In the past I would plan for everyone to meet at a restaurant and take pictures after, until last year when the restaurant we had planned on cancelled at the last minute. I had two days until the event and had no idea what to do…so with the help of my lovely friend McKenzie, the event took place at my house. After that night I realized how much more intimate and fun it was at my house, because I had control over everything: the menu, decorations, and how long everyone stayed.
I hosted a DIY flower arranging party for some of my friends a few weeks ago and it was so much fun! I had come up with the idea a few months ago when I attended a flower bouquet making event at Kate Spade in New York City (you can see that blog post here).
I had a small birthday dinner at Fred’s at Barney’s tonight. It’s one of my all-time favorite restaurants here in the City! If you happen to go there, I highly recommend starting with the pomme frites..they’re amazing! My dress is from Zara.
I put together small gift bags for the girls, including face and lip masks from Sephora-as well as tons of candy! I got the bags/name cards from Michaels Craft Store. I love putting together gifts for other people, it’s so fun for me!! I also went and got peonies and hydrangeas for the table. It was a fairly small table, so I got the perfect amount of decorations to fill the space. It was a great evening!!
I have loved planning events since I was a little girl. I started planning in elementary and haven’t stopped since! I love picking the themes, as well as the color schemes. I also love the anticipation in waiting to see everyone’s reactions to my decorations. However, my favorite part is definitely the planning process. I have an extremely organized Pinterest account where I am constantly pinning away ideas for new events. I am a die-hard list maker and am always seen with my notebook and pens. If I’m hosting an event, you can guarantee I have a list created for every detail. I am absolutely infatuated with every aspect that goes into planning an event!
This new category “Events” was made so I can show all of you my inspirations, ideas, as well as parties that I plan! Today I have compiled some of my most recent inspirations for you all to check out. They are all courtesy of Pinterest! Enjoy 🙂
