If I just stare at my photos from Charleston all day, can I pretend that I’m still there? Ugh I wish!! My trip was so much fun and I’m already planning my next trip back. I’m so excited to share more photos from my trip, as well as some of the restaurants and fun things that we did while in the city.
If we’re being honest, the only thing that gets me through school is planning weekend getaways. I am not a school person. at all. I would much rather be traveling around Europe or laying on the beach of a tropical island, but instead I spend Monday-Friday in a classroom listening to information that I will (most definitely) forget very shortly after hearing it.
By the time this post is published I will be at the airport heading to Maui. I’m so excited to relax in the sun and have way too many snow cones and strawberry daiquiris (virgin, of course!). December was a complete and utter mess, so I’m determined to have a better January. Spontaneous trips are my absolute favorite! I booked this trip last week and have been so excited ever since.
Happy New Year!!! 2017 went by so fast and I’m going into the New Year with optimism and excitement. I typically make a bunch of New Year’s resolutions that I forget within a week (oops). This year I’ve decided to set some more realistic goals, because “eating healthy” and “drinking more water” will never be realistic when I could be eating pizza and drinking a Shirley Temple instead.
The holiday season is always filled with so many parties and get-togethers with friends and family! I personally love throwing parties, but always seem to forget how much work is put into throwing an event until I am trying to get everything together the day-of. To show an appreciation for your hostess, bring a gift! It doesn’t have to be expensive, just something to show your gratefulness.
Also! If you don’t have time to get a physical gift, I love to bring a bouquet of flowers or some chocolates :).
Thank you so much for reading!
I had the most amazing weekend getaway in Montreál this past weekend, with one of my friends from New York!! I had never been to Montreál before, and I loved exploring all of the cool neighborhoods and trying out new restaurants and foods. The city was so beautiful and has me craving a trip to Paris now! These photos were taken near McGill University. We stumbled upon this area while wandering around the streets, and I’m so glad that we found this spot! The buildings next to the fall foliage was absolutely stunning! If you’re looking for a weekend getaway destination, I highly recommend a trip to Montreál!
Hello!! As I’m writing this blog post it’s raining outside and I’m cuddled up with a blanket, apple cider, and the cutest acorn candle burning beside me. It’s a perfect fall day! The air is crisp outside and I just love it. I still haven’t gone apple picking yet but am determined to do it before fall ends. It’s still somewhat green over here in Washington, but I can definitely tell that the fall colors are taking over. One thing I have loved doing these past few weeks has just been walking around my neighborhood and exploring new parks. I love bundling up and going for walks throughout this time of year.
