Happy Wednesday!!! So happy that we’re halfway to the weekend. Today I’m going to be sharing one of my favorite new outfits that I’m going to be wearing all Spring long.
I typically only wear bright colors, but when I saw this black and white gingham romper from Anthropologie, I just had to get it! I paired it with a black and white polka-dot scarf as well as the cutest little bag from Zara.
I’ve always been a fan of pattern-mixing. Blair Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific has been one of my main sources for inspiration when it comes to pattern mixing. One of my outfits of hers is this one from her trip to Bermuda. Neck scarves have been everywhere lately, so one of my favorite ways to mix patterns has been through neck scarves! I love pairing a neck scarf with my romper, dress, or skirt. At the bottom of this post I’ve created a collage with some cute outfit ideas that involve mixing patterns!

Thank you so much for reading!
Zara has always been one of my favorite stores for trendy pieces. I hate splurging on trendy pieces that will go out of style soon, so Zara is perfect for pieces like that. They have pretty reasonable prices and are always one of the first stores to have the trendy pieces for each season.
Does anyone else have a love/hate relationship with Zara? I feel like sometimes I go in there and find absolutely nothing. Other days I spend hundreds of dollars. This sweater was found on one of my hundreds-of-dollars-days. It was on sale and is so oversized and perfect!!! The color is so bright and definitely brightened up this gloomy day.
I had the most amazing weekend getaway in Montreál this past weekend, with one of my friends from New York!! I had never been to Montreál before, and I loved exploring all of the cool neighborhoods and trying out new restaurants and foods. The city was so beautiful and has me craving a trip to Paris now! These photos were taken near McGill University. We stumbled upon this area while wandering around the streets, and I’m so glad that we found this spot! The buildings next to the fall foliage was absolutely stunning! If you’re looking for a weekend getaway destination, I highly recommend a trip to Montreál!
Whenever I’m in a rush or not in the mood to pick out an outfit, I love throwing on a casual dress with boots. It looks dressy & put together, yet doesn’t require much effort! The dress I’m wearing in today’s post is from Zara and I got it a few years ago. I paired it with a cardigan from Nordstrom (similar here and here) and my Tory Burch riding boots. I was also wearing these Anthropologie sunglasses!!
Hello!! I am so excited about todays post. I absolutely love my outfit (details below!) and felt that it was so fun to wear for a walk through a park nearby where I live. It’s still not very cold here, so I have been taking advantage of lightweight dresses/sweaters and boots! I love a good pair of black tights paired with a dress in the winter, but I’m not ready for them quite yet. The reason I’m so excited about todays post isn’t because of my outfit though, it’s because I have a special announcement for you guys!!
As I have stated many times before, fall is my favorite season to dress for. I love layers, coats, boots, etc!! A few things that I’ve been wanting to add to my wardrobe this fall have been…a beret (I saw them everywhere at fashion week and need one. Once I finally get one you all will be hearing a very interesting story about what happened to the first one I ordered.), a new blazer (preferably in a fall color or pattern), and a dress similar to this one, but with a more reasonable price. The two girls I go to for fall inspiration are Julia Engel of Gal Meets Glam and Blair Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific. They have the cutest fall style and if I had the money, I would be purchasing every single thing they post!
SoHo has always been one of my favorite parts of Manhattan. Every street has so many cool, unique looking buildings! On my way to the Tracy Reese fashion show, my friend Francesca and I stopped to take some photos in SoHo. I’m wearing a ton of different pieces layered on top of each other. I originally did this because I was heading to the airport after the fashion show, and didn’t have room in my suitcase for this stuff..ha! It actually worked out pretty well, because I liked the end result enough to wear it to the show! I’m wearing a patterned dress from Zara, with a shirt that is also from Zara layered on-top, and a vest from BBDakota (similar, in grey, here). My shoes are from Nordstrom and they are Jeffrey Campbell! I did change my shoes before heading to the airport (and pretty much broke my suitcase in the process).
I’m automatically drawn to things that I can monogram, so when I saw this backpack on The Daily Edited, I knew I had to have it. It was pricier than I typically like to spend on backpacks, but I’m obsessed with it so I’m just going to forget about the cost. I also plan on keeping it for a long time, and I don’t have to be scared that anyone will steal it…because why would someone else want my name on their backpack? The Daily Edited has so many cute products that I am going to start saving for, specifically this.
So I’m definitely not looking forward to school starting (why can’t I just travel the world and shop for the rest of my life???) , but I can’t help but be so excited for fall fashion!! Today’s outfit combination got me extremely excited for the upcoming season…even though shorts in Seattle’s fall are typically not practical. Cheetah always reminds me of fall-and I find it such a fun way to welcome the new season! In these photos I’m wearing cheetah flats that are super old, but I’ve found some similar ones here and here. I’m also wearing shorts from Zara and a blouse from Tanapama. My shirt is so fun and flowy yet can also look super professional-perfect for back-to-school. Tanapama has some super cute pieces! Definitely check them out. My handbag is from Chanel. I rarely wear my glasses out in public, but thanks to the ulcer in my eye I have been forced to wear them for the past few days (and for a few more) – however I do think they remind me of school/fall. 🙂
