“Is there anything more wonderful than Christmas in New York?” – Eloise
New York City is one of, if not the, most beautiful and magical places during Christmastime. I’m currently sitting in the airport heading back to Seattle thinking about how amazing my trip was, and how blessed I am to have just gone to NYC in December for the 4th time. In today’s blog post I’m going to be sharing some of my must-see’s while visiting The City in December!
Before I get into my favorite things to do, I wanted to share my outfit details! My shirt and skirt are both from Chicwish. They are both affordably priced and could be worn so many different ways! I also love pairing the skirt with an oversized sweater. If it weren’t so cold, I wouldn’t have worn tights…but New York was freezing! My OTK boots are from Nordstrom. They are currently 30% off and a staple in my wardrobe throughout this time of year. My earrings can be found here. They are so beautiful and I absolutely love them! So perfect for the holidays.
I love going to the Top of the Rock anytime I visit New York. The view is amazing! Make sure to stop by and see the famous Christmas tree and Ice Skating Rink! The entire area around Rockefeller is decorated so beautifully. I stopped to take photos by the giant ornaments across from Radio City! It wasn’t terribly busy so I was able to get photos without other people in them.
Lotte New York Palace
The Palace Hotel (aka Serena’s home from Gossip Girl!!??) is a beautiful hotel, especially around the holidays. The courtyard is decorated and has a giant Christmas Tree in the middle. I went at about 12 and had to wait for a few minutes before taking a photo, but it was definitely worth it!
Normas at Le Parker Meridian
Not specifically Christmas-related, but Norma’s is my absolute favorite place to go for brunch! I highly suggest making a reservation because it does get quite busy. They also decorated the lobby beautiful for the holidays.
Holiday Market at Bryant Park
The holiday market is one of my all-time favorites in NYC. I love wandering through the different booths (especially Melsys Illustrations!) and ice skating as well. It is so festive and such a fun evening activity!
Wandering the West Village
This trip I decided to explore the West Village and found so many beautiful homes decorated for Christmas. I even found one on Charles Street that had a huge Christmas Tree blocking the front door (see my Instagram for photos of it). Near Charles Street is Washington Square Park, where there is another beautiful tree.
The Upper East Side is always so perfect, especially during December! Lights and wreaths were all over each street making it very Insta-worthy. Madison Ave is the location of the photos in today’s post!
Tea at The Plaza
Whether you are visiting in December or any other month, Tea at The Plaza is a must! I haven’t been during December but know it would be unlike anything else.
Ice Skating in Central Park
Located in Central Park is another ice rink! With views of the park and cityscape, this ice rink is very photo-worthy and should be at the top of your to-do list!
Thank you so much for reading!!!
thank you to Chicwish for providing me with my outfit for this post. All opinions are my own!
