Seattle is known for being the rainy city. As much as I don’t like the rain, we get a lot of it! If you’re in Seattle or visiting when rain is on the forecast, this post is for you!! I’m going to be sharing where to spend a rainy day in Seattle, as well as some fun ideas and activities.
*disclaimer* yes, I am from Seattle and still carry an umbrella. I’m not sure where the stereotype came from…but I don’t like to get wet, so I always have one in my car ready for a rainy day!
Wings over Washington
If you’ve been to Disneyland and loved Soarin’ Over California, Wings of Washington would be the perfect activity to do on your rainy day. I went when it first opened and thought it was a fun thing to do & see!
This one is pretty obvious for anyone living in Seattle, but go to a coffee shop! I don’t drink coffee but do love the atmosphere. A few of my favorites are: General Porpoise, Storyville Coffee, and Caffe Ladro.
Head over to Pacific Place, Westlake Center, Bellevue Square, etc for some shopping! Shopping is the perfect way to spend your rainy day inside, yet still being productive and picking up some new pieces.
I’m obsessed with going to the spa. Some of my favorites are Penelope and The Beauty Bar and Still Spa! Book yourself a massage and facial, and spend your rainy day relaxing.
Go to the Volunteer Park Conservatory
I love visiting the Volunteer Park Conservatory & it’s a perfect place to get cover from the rain, yet still see a beautiful Seattle spot!
Go to the Aquarium
The aquarium is always fun – and the perfect indoor activity for a rainy day.
Thanks for reading! Much love, Anabelle.
